QUESTIONS ABOUT THE MATERIAL

What material do you use for your toys?

We exclusively use platinum silicone. This material is non-porous, easy to clean, durable, and completely safe for your health. We manufacture each toy by hand, made to order according to your wishes.

What is platinum silicone and why is it body-safe?

Platinum silicone is a high-quality, two-component silicone that is cured with a platinum catalyst and cross-links at room temperature. It is completely biocompatible, hypoallergenic, odorless, and biologically inert (meaning it does not release any harmful substances). All our toys are handcrafted from this premium material. Are your products hypoallergenic?

Yes! Platinum silicone is hypoallergenic and suitable even for sensitive skin. It does not trigger allergic reactions and is free of latex, phthalates, and other allergens.

Are your products free of harmful substances?

Yes, 100%. All our toys are free of phthalates, BPA, latex, and other harmful chemicals. Your health is our top priority.

CARE AND CLEANING

How should I clean my silicone toy?

Clean your toy before and after each use with warm water and mild, unscented soap or a special toy cleaner. Be sure to rinse all areas thoroughly and dry your toy with a lint-free cloth or let it air dry.
Alternatively, you can clean it in the dishwasher.

Which cleaning agents should I use?

Mild, (preferably) unscented soap or special toy cleaners are best. Alternatively, a solution of 70% isopropanol (also known as isopropyl alcohol or IPA) with 30% distilled water can be used. Avoid harsh household cleaners, as these can damage the material.

Can I boil or sterilize my toy?

Yes! Platinum silicone is heat-resistant up to 180°C. You can sterilize your toy for a few minutes in boiling water or, if available, use an autoclave.

How can I best store my toy?

Store your toy in a dry, dark, and cool place – this way you'll enjoy it for many years. A lint-free fabric bag is ideal, or you can use the attractive cardboard tube in which we delivered your toy. Avoid direct contact with other toys, especially those not made of platinum silicone.

Which lubricants are compatible with silicone?

You can use any lubricant offered for use with sex toys in stores or online shops. Due to the wide variety available, we can't test them all and make a statement about their suitability. Ultimately, it's your personal decision which type of lubricant feels best for you. For anal use, we recommend slightly thicker/paste-like lubricants, while for vaginal use, we recommend oil-free, thinner lubricants.

SHIPPING AND DISCREET PACKAGING

Is shipping completely discreet?

Yes, of course! The package only shows our neutral return address, "Designwerkstatt-Lippe, Hagensche Str. 169, 32791 Lage," without any indication of the contents.

How will my order be packaged?

All orders are packaged in neutral, opaque boxes with no indication of the contents. Discretion is our top priority! You can find more information and pictures of the packaging here.

How long does shipping within Germany take?

Shipping within Germany usually takes 1-2 business days. Our products are handmade and made exclusively to order. This usually takes 2-3 business days, but can vary slightly depending on order volume.

Do you also ship internationally?

Yes, we ship to almost all European countries with only a few exceptions (e.g., the United Kingdom – due to customs regulations). You can find all the countries we ship to here, along with shipping costs and delivery times.

SIZE AND PRODUCT GUIDE

How do I find the right size for me?

SPIELWERK offers each toy in a wide range of sizes. You can choose from up to 10 different sizes. Try to base your selection on your own experience as much as possible. For each product, you'll find a size chart with detailed measurements (length, diameter, insertable length). If you're unsure, it's best to start with a smaller size and/or a softer silicone – we offer four different firmness levels. We're happy to answer any questions you may have via email!

Are the products suitable for beginners?

Each of our products is available in smaller sizes, starting at 35mm or 40mm in diameter. You can find the exact measurements in the size chart. If in doubt, choose a slimmer model and a softer silicone.

What do the different firmness levels mean?

To make your toy as comfortable and arousing as possible, you can choose from four firmness levels, from super soft to medium-firm, in addition to our many different sizes.
Firmness levels for flexible materials are specified in Shore A (ShA) hardness. For our toys, firmness level 1 corresponds to approximately ShA-00 (almost as soft as marshmallows), firmness level 2 to approximately ShA-08 (somewhat comparable to fresh, soft gummy candy), firmness level 3 to approximately ShA-15 (slightly firmer gummy candy), and firmness level 4 to approximately ShA-24 (about as firm as average licorice). You can select your desired firmness level during the ordering process.

Can the toys be attached somehow to keep your hands free?

Yes, we offer attachment options as an additional feature for almost all toys. Depending on the model, you can choose between a suction cup, a Vac-U-Lock system mount, and a threaded sleeve (M8).

RETURNS AND DATA PROTECTION

Can I return toys?

We manufacture our toys according to your individual wishes. Since we only produce to order, our products are generally non-returnable. This limits your normal right of withdrawal. If you agree to this, you must confirm this before payment. If you do not wish to do so, we will only begin production after the two-week withdrawal period has expired.
However, should we make a mistake, meaning you receive the wrong shape, size, or color, please leave the sealed packaging unopened and contact us so we can inform you about the appropriate return procedure.

How is my data protected?

Data is always transmitted in encrypted form and stored in accordance with the GDPR. We do not share your data with third parties and use it exclusively for order processing. You can find further details in our privacy policy.

CUSTOM ORDERS

Can I order my toy in a specific color?

We currently offer our toys in 24 colors – which, to our knowledge, is unique on the market. However, we can also accommodate special requests for specific shades or multi-colored designs. For individual color requests, please contact us directly – we'll then discuss the possibilities!
